BTW, Eric Sofer called Mace way back last September.  (although instead of the Erskine formula it was Hyde's formula).

All in all they've done a nice job of ratcheting up the tension this season.  The last cliffhanger was pretty effective.

Chloe Bennet teases that the third story arc for this season's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will reward long term fans. The final story arc will be teased during tonight's episode at 10 PM on ABC, which is also the finale for the LMD story arc!

"The last seven episodes are by far going to be some of my favorite of the whole series because it's really going to reward fans who have been with us from the beginning, and it's really fun."

The long-desired/dreaded Grant Ward LMD?

TONIGHTS EPISODE....

WOW!

Easily the best episode this season and one of the best ever.   Kudos to Jed Whedon for showing out and directing and writing his ass off for this one.

Bravo.

Most current episode - a winner! Although a little too much exsanguination for my tastes...

But... God damn it, ANOTHER five week hiatus?!?!? I mean, I know that a regular 23 (22? 24? whatever) episode season is passe now, since it's never worked >:(
Still... TWO long intra-season breaks? What am I watching? A BBC production?

Despicable. The show is great right now, but this is the sort of thing to turn people away.

Eric, BBC usually do not have production breaks in the middle of a season - Doctor Who was possibly the first (I certainly can't think of another).

The BBC model is one of shorter, complete series, usually of between 6 and 13 episodes (what Netflix seem to have adopted).

This system of show a few new ones, have a break, show a few new ones seems to be American. in the UK, some satellite channels such as Sky show episodes as they come out in America which leads to the same breaks, but others have tried it and realised that the British viewers don't like it. Hence, Disney XD had a longer break on REBELS until they knew they could go to the end and Channel 4 has only just started showing Agents of SHIELD knowing that they can do an unbroken run.

Pretty much, in the UK, have a break, lose viewers

I must admit i prefer us in the U.K. seeing U.S. shows
close to their original airdate, despite the mid-season
breaks! At least it avoids us watching Christmas
episodes in July which is what used to happen until
recently!

James, I thought I recalled hearing that Sherlock Holmes and other adventure shows had three or four episode runs, and then a break, and then another short run, etc. No insult intended.

Eric,Sherlock Holmes has three or four ep runs then a
gap of a year or so! Most U.K. shows last 6 to 12
eps,and are shown in an unbroken run.

The Inhumans were a drag and the Ghost Rider arc was boring.

Aida is awesome though and I never thought I'd see the Patriot live action on TV (or anywhere actually)--I actually look forward to new episodes now!

Yep, last night's episode was great! This is one of the first times I have been "on the edge of my seat" while watching this show! And the teaser for the next story line? Curious as to how Jemma will turn up after what we saw.

That link and your comment are loaded with spoilers, Sam. I've not seen the latest episode. Thanks. Now I guess I don't need to.

Brian, please accept my apologies! After I posted I realized what had happened, but could not get back in to fix it (thanks Matt for the help!!), so I hope I didn't unintentionally mess it up for many of you.

Here, just posting a bit less.  Trying to navigate the waters of finding my next gig while simultaneously not imploding with every new presidential edict.

My wife and I caught the latest episode late Tuesday night. She asked "Where was I when AOS got good?" She's really enjoying this Invasion of the Body Snatchers/Matrix hybrid they have going on.

Last night's AGENTS of S.H.I.E.L.D. (or HYDRA, if you prefer) was pretty damned entertaining and a somewhat unnerving commentary of the political/social climate in this country right now.

The term "Cautionary Tale" sprang to mind several times.

I enjoyed last nights greatly!

This storyline reminds me of a recurring dream I used to have when I was younger. Whereas I tried convincing friends and family ,unsuccessfully, they were inside my dream.

How to convince them it's a dream? I had a feeling we were going into FF #236 territory: an academic in his office late at night, he takes a blade and drives it deep into his arm, and screams...

Yeah, better Simmons test in considering her condition, but then, the framework is intended to keep the others alive, so what would happen? (And why would the framework have to build a conspiracy/massacre/coverup, anyway? Wouldn't anything it really wanted to hide just be erased?)

Really enjoying this HYDRA storyline. This season's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been really fun. It IS very reminiscent of JB's TERROR IN A TINY TOWN.
