We all know there are knock-offs teams (for lack of a better term) in comics all over the place.

Squadron Supreme is a knock-off of the JLA
Imperial Guard is a knock-off of Legion of Superheroes
Fantastic Four is a knock-off of Challengers of the Unknown (at least I think they are)

I was wondering, is there a team at DC that is a knock-off of the Avengers?

What are some other knock-off? Teams only.

DC had an Avengers knock-off. With Blue Jay and Wandjina or something like that.

DC's Crusaders were a knock off of the Invaders.

Avengers was a JLA knock-off. So, legend has it, was the Fantastic Four.

You might say that when Batman was created because Vin Sullivan needed another Superman book, the first domino tumbled. After that, the truly original characters are few and far between.

I always thought that the Doom Patrol was DC's answer to the
Fantastic Four.

One of the more unusual examples is Mantis (Marvel)/Willow(DC)/Lorelei (Eclipse/Image) all created and written by Steve Englehart as the same character

Ah, that brilliantly creative period in comics when the Best Idea was to manufacture avatars of other companies characters.

Typically, begun in good fun, with the Squadron Supreme/Sinister, but run into the ground by constant repetition.

Nova Corps is a knockoff of the Green Lantern Corps.

••

And the Green Lantern Corps is itself a knockoff of E. "Doc" Smith's "Skylarks of Space" series, written in the teens and early twenties of the past century.
