The New York Times says Clinton has a 76% chance of winning the presidency.

Isn't that what they said about Dewey?

One step closer to the end of the world, as far as I'm concerned. I think Trump deserves his own personal Doomsday Clock.

I keep telling myself that this country will not elect a fascist bigot. We cannot.

That Trump has come this far though...it's scary.

Last week while on vacation, we visited the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. In it, there were many videos of Hitler explaining how he rallied the country of Germany into believing that the Jews were the cause of all ills on its people.  The whole time I watched those videos, all I could think about was Trump and how similar his approach is to Hitler's.

The One Percenters who own all of us and this country would never allow a simple elected official to ruin their chances to accrue interest.

This joke is starting to not be funny anymore. But I really wonder if Trump is trying to win. His VP is a fool who helps him with nothing. And I really don't see two white guys on a ticket winning in this country anymore.

I didn't think the Republican establishment would let this happen. I guess no last-minute candidate of any stature, like Romney (*gag*), stepped up to the plate.

That's the problem in a nutshell. Trump is a walking nightmare, but the GOP has no one better!!

And he's not alone. See how many European countries are lurching to the far-right. Look at the rise of UKIP in my country and how the Conservatives are having to swing that way to pick up the popular vote. It's a frightening future.

I remember when we first started debating Trump on these boards. Some of you who know a lot about American politics were ADAMANT that he would never get the Rep. nomination.

The World is a very frightening place, seemingly out of control. And when people are frightened, they almost always swing right. There is comfort in the hardline response, the nuke-'em-and-ask-questions-later attitude. It doesn't require difficult things like thinking.

The thing is though, I firmly believe Trump would "push the button" first and worry about the consequences later.  As much as I loathe Bush and Cheney, not even they were stupid enough to do that!
