I think most of us here grew up with his Art.  It was pretty much synonymous with MAD MAGAZINE.

MAD is certainly what he is best known for, but he did loads of album covers, advertisement art, magazine covers, and film posters. He was everywhere!!

Movie posters too Matt!

of all the comic book artists, I don't know if anyone's work has carried over into mainstream culture any more successfully that Jack Davis's!

Rest in Peace, Jack, you American Giant. There cannot be enough said about his originality and accomplishment. So sad to lose him.

I love that Jack drew the official Bad News Bear movie poster *and* the official MAD parody, "The Bad Mouth Bears."  That's range.
