From what I read, this is development art for a "Fourth World" film or series that was not produced.  I don't know if it would fit best in the general form, or in the film or TV forums.

I would have liked to see these designs animated, and I wonder if Mike Mignola would have been a (the) writer.  His bold designs echo Jack Kirby's and his use of mythology in his own creations would have been interesting with the characters.

I saw these earlier today.  The prospect of Mignola handling these characters is exciting.  Sadly like too many other projects it's filed under "what might've been".

You can look at Cosmic Oddisey for more Mike Mignola's New Gods art. I think his style suits the characters very well.

A "New Gods" film would be GREAT in the right hands and these Mignola sketches look awesome. He should definitely be in solved if it even comes up again.

Yeah, it's a shame this was not put into production.  Would have been great to see it in motion.  Extra fantasy points if it were co-written by Mike Mignola and Roger Stern.

When were these done?  They're fantastic!

I agree that a New Gods adaptation could make a great film or series, but I'm mystified by Mignola's designs. Why trade all of Kirby's designs for stylized Kirby-quirks through the lens of Mignola?

I love Mignola, but this feels like something I would not have liked.
