The Confederate Flag being what it is, I'd rather see the General Lee painted up and modified as the Millennium Falcon!

That would be cool, Shaun.

Someone had painted a rifle with DUKES OF HAZZARD confederate flag colours recently and shared on social media. Frustrating, given the Dukes refused to carry guns in the show.

Oh dear. Might have been slightly more fitting to do it to a Firefly spaceship, but yeah even still...(Shakes head...)

Suddenly imagining the General Lee's horn playing everytime the Falcon shows up. Not that there should be any sound in space or anything, but since that's not a rule that the Star Wars films have ever even tried to adhere to, then it probably would be the next step.

Is the Confederate flag truly a symbol of racism and slavery?  I mean, it's pretty much reached Swastika status but in modern times, I always thought it was more about Southern pride than actual racism and oppression.  I'm probably wrong, but in this particular case, which I'm surprised hasn't been brought up, are the Duke boys racists or just "good ol' boys"?

I suppose my only real interaction with the flag being the tv show has skewed my perception.

@ Robbie Parry, The Dukes didn't refuse to carry guns.
Bo and Luke were on probation and couldn't care guns.
This actually played into the plot from time to time.
Daisy and (more so) Uncle Jesse used a shotgun from time
to time. Luckily, Bo and Luke found the bow and arrow
(with attached dynamite) loophole.

Thanks Eric. It has been a long time since I've seen the show. ;-)
