Hi

I was in Palma, Spain, a few weeks ago to visit the exhibition of Steve Ditko original artworks at the Casal Solleric.

The exhibition's spread over two floors and is choc full of key artworks (including my two Captain Atom covers which I've loaned for the duration of the event).

I've uploaded a selection of photographs I took during my visit, which can be seen on my Comic Art Fans galleries (select the 'Steve Ditko Exhibition' sub-gallery).

Here's a link:

Wow, that is so awesome!

I'd love to see something like that if it ever makes it here to the states.  I wonder why this ended up happening in Spain?

Those pages from Spider-Man #33 are simply gorgeous!

Thanks for posting, Terry.

The Casal Solleric has previously hosted exhibitions featuring Wally Wood, John Buscema and Russ Heath.

Why Spain?

Because the local government at Palma sponsored it (and the exhibition is the brainchild of two European enthusiasts who put in the time and effort to make it happen).

Next month should see the release of 'Ditko Unleashed', which is the book specifically being produced to celebrate this exhibition.

What a great show.  I've had the book on order and am looking forward to it.  I don't suppose Steve made it out to the show?
