This new Inhumans trailer makes the snippet of Krypton I've just seen look epic in comparison.

Looks okay to me, especially Lockjaw.

They have my attention in a good way. It is by far good enough to me to give it a chance. OMG, that Lockjaw is spectacular.

And can't that damned Ramsay Bolton keep himself out of trouble for FIVE MINUTES? :D :D :D

So... I'm taking bets. Does Agent Coulson appear in the first episode of Inhumans, or is there a two night crossover event with A.o.S.?

Wow, another name I have been saying wrong all these years...Attilan. In the preview pronounced At-eh-lin. I've been saying Ah-til-an.

Show got it wrong. Probably trying not to sound too much like "Atlantis".

It's AT-A-LAN.

OK, I don't like what Star Trek: Discovery appears to be doing, but my word, when you compare this Inhumans trailer, which is boasting about IMAX with the ST:Discovery trailer and the look, level of special effects, energy.

What is going on here?

I hope the budget for this thing didn't go to the producers.  Because it sure isn't showing up on the screen.

It looks cheap. Iron Fist kind of did too. Budget cut or hubris?

Well, I went to the IMAX version yesterday evening.
All in all, far from the trainwreck it was supposed to be according to rumors. (there were quite a few shots they could/should have used for their marketing, but maybe they were afraid to show too much too soon).
I liked it quite a bit.
Basically it follows their first storyline, minus the FF, unfortunately.

So far the only real problem for me is the casting of Medusa. Don't see her face in this actress, who is herself not nearly imposing enough physically.

Serinda Swan is being woefully underserved by her make-up team in this production.

She is a really striking woman, but her look on Inhumans seems so bland and washed out.  Her face seems to disappear into the color of her hair and the color of her costume.  This is a case where black as part of the color scheme would have given her look some pop.  The pale purple and pink is true to her comics costume, but its missing the black that gave it 'oomph'.

She is a semi regular on the HBO show 'Ballers'.  In that she looks amazing!  In Inhumans, not so much.

Serinda Swan

Looking at her on Google, I still cannot say she has the right face for Medusa.

A downside to any portrayal of Medusa is that her hair should be constantly in motion, like the snakes on the head of her namesake. Probably too expensive for this series, tho.

Who has the face you see in your mind's eye, Mr. Byrne?

And TOTALLY agree about the constantly moving hair.  Her hair should be a character unto itself.  Doesn't look like thats the case here.

When I first saw Christina Hendricks on MAD MEN, I thought That's Medusa!

It was she I had in mind when I did THIS.

My first time seeing this commission.

I just blew it up on my monitor.

....gasp...

Still counting what looks like people and workstations in the windows.

Haven't even gotten to the heroes in question yet.

A tip of the hat to you.

Re : the IGNreview.

(sorry I had to repost, the previous one became all invisi-text and I could not change it back.)

Anyway, I don't rememberseeing any "episode recap flashback".

The IMAX versionmay not be the best option (price wise as well. In my case I managedto get a cheap ticket), but there were definitely times when you feelit was intended for IMAX.

I had a few "hum"moments (especially with Karnak) and there is Medusa's hair(although not that hideous either, and it gets much better halfway (Idon't want to spoil).

You may like itor not, but this is quite oriented "journalism" in myopinion. Or thay have seen another version than the one I saw (me,there was no episode recap)

I just saw the trailer for The Shape Of Water from Guillermo DelToro (which looks AMAZING and is getting raves) and I was admiring his lovely take on the aquatic creature in the movie. Similar to his take on Abe Sapien from Hellboy, but still just as detailed as fun to look at.  And it occurred to me that Del Toro would have been perfect for the Inhumans movie we didn't get from the MCU.

His wild and imaginative take on 'monsters' might have given us some 'inhumans' worth of Kirby's vivid visuals.

I'm betting he would have done justice to the costumes and I have no doubt Medusa's hair would have been character unto itself.

I haven't seen 'Inhumans' (the TV show yet) but I feel like we could have had something special as a DelToro movie.

Is it too late to reshoot everything with Christina Hendricks as Medusa?  (I'm right there with JB!)  Not only is she physically perfect for the role but her Joan on MAD MEN had the right attitude/personality too!

I dearly love Serinda Swan, but she's not right here.  She was PERFECT as Zatanna on SMALLVILLE.  She should have been given a spin-off immediately--Zatanna is one character that would have worked perfectly in the live action of TV.
