No offense, but why stay friends with people that gullible? They're likely to sell your car behind your back and surprise you with the magic beans they got for it.

Joe - yes, these friends are in the UK
Koroush: (from my initial post) I have friends who I am stopping communicating with because... I just can’t talk to those anymore
So yes, things have changed I'm not even mentioning the effect of Brexit on friendships.

I look at the extant situation, and I can't help but wonder how far astray these events would be to Dennis Miller's show with his news of the future, or SNL's Weekend Update with Jane Curtin and Dan Aykroyd. Would they be treated as hilarious, or would the writers comment that these are so insane that they wouldn't be funny because they could never occur?

If Mrs. the Trump agrees to someone saying she felt like she knew Kim Jung-Un, well, that should be good enough for you, and proof that lots and lots of very very smart people are on the President's side in thinking Chairman Kim is very very smart and cool like him. Stupid Obama the extreme socialist was outsmarted by these wildly popular and loved dictators, and that's why he is so full of hate for salt of the earth real working Americans that support getting rid of job-killing regulations and who are never strange foreign Muslims from Kenya.

Trump had a twitter-spaz I take it about Fox News putting a liberal on that "talked down the economy" (ohhhh, so that's why the stock market went down, of course) and is telling his followers to find another news outlet.
Guess what's left that he hasn't attacked?
RTNews! RT standing for Russia Today (it's still there on channel 505 on my cable). The only news channel where it's newsreaders have quit on air (more than once) over the kind of junk they've been told to read. He just spent most of the G7 meeting lobbying for Putin... has the coin really not dropped for everyone about who he is working for?

So... Brian Miller has a "buddy" for so long that's a Republican yet made it known that I was on ignore? Er, nice. I guess I must've been guilty of some kind of "fuckery" I still don't understand.

In his latest tweet, the man refers to "The Age of Trump":
QUOTE:
When the “Age of Trump” is looked back on many years from now, I only hope that a big part of my legacy will be the exposing of massive dishonesty in the Fake News! |
|
|
Much easier and more accurate just to refer to it as "Dark Ages 2".
It boggles the mind that this numpty is capable of conceptualizing that he will have a legacy, but so obtuse and delusional as to actually think it may be even remotely positive.
Fact facts Donald, years from now, there will be as many kids being named Donald as there are being named Adolf today; your children will have to change their surnames and move to various safe havens; and it's quite possible that the MAGA slogan and apparel will be viewed in museums alongside other famous hate symbols like the ISIS flag and the Swastika.
The best you can hope for is that your legacy doesn't involve being known as the President who started WWIII.

Do not compare Trump to ISIS or the Nazis. Trump is dumb evil. The others are pure evil.

Qualifying between the two, when looking at leadership or movements is a dangerous and slippery slope. Dumb evil devolves and pure evil typically is the end result of a winding path of destructive choices and outcomes. Very few individuals start out "evil". The results at the end of the road are what matters and those come into being, due to successes and "getting away" with actions previously.

Depends on your view Joe - where is Trump in his trajectory compared to the others? Early '30's? Give him a second term and see if he will relinquish power or try to remove the two term limit, and then see where he heads.
He's beginning to order companies around and they are obeying (just announced today that the latest Huawei phone will not have links to Google Apps following Trump's decree). Give him time, I'm sure he will get there

Exactly. He is much bolder, in many ways, than he was when he initially took office. Counter intuitive for anyone looking to working within a democratic system.

Joe Z.: "Do not compare Trump to ISIS or the Nazis. Trump is dumb evil. The others are pure evil."
I think that evil is evil. If the results are the same, the cause doesn't much matter - or so I feel.
Also, you state the Trump is dumb evil... but do we know that? There's no question that Trump is stupid, but Hitler had some dumb and radical ideas too. I consider that Trump may be sinister and subtle, even if not especially bright. We don't know the record (we may never know the ENTIRE record) but I think that a lot of what's happened couldn't be just coincidental results from "ignorant" evil.
