I like Tammy Duckworth, but I *really* think Biden needs to select an African American for VP.  Choosing not to would be tone deaf in the year of BLM, and it would demoralize (and possibly anger) a voting base that he needs to energize and really get to turn out.  Susan Rice strikes me as a mistake, as it hands the Republicans the Benghazi issue on a silver platter... plus, she has never held elected office.  Senator Harris is my choice... she was one of my favorites in the original Presidential field, and unless she's got some skeletons in her closet there's no potential downside I can see.

Prior to the recent Supreme Court decision, it was unclear.  But that decision has clarified that members of the Electoral College must vote for the candidate chosen by the majority of their state's voters.  Which presumably means faithless electors are a thing of the past, since if anyone tries to become one they will be removed and replaced.

Yes, let’s have a president who takes the advice from someone who
thinks the government is run by reptiles, vaccines have alien DNA in
them & there will be a vaccine against catching religion.

This just gets worse each day. This is beyond satire now. Spitting
Image, in the ‘80’s used to have a weekly sketch called Them
president’s brain is missing’ because some of the stuff Reagan said
was so outrageous.
They could never surpass what Trump himself says.

Remember Sarah Pallin? Everyone said you had dodged a bullet
there? She’s a rank amateur compared to the bullet the GOP ran
towards.

Well as no one couldn't see coming, Don has gone off script again and turns the briefing in to a complete farce and parody of his own mismanagement of the whole pandemic.

I like her as well, but her prosecutorial record leaves much to be desired.

Do we think that in his head he thinks him & Fauci are saying the same
things so there can be no other reason.

Does he not get that what they say is diametrically opposed to each
other?

He thinks that he's done the most perfect job of anyone ever, so it can't
be that reason that no one likes him. It has to be his personality.

Seems to be that Pence met the ‘doctors’ from yesterday’s video after it
was removed.
You have the most disturbing government I know.

Which is shocking when you consider other governments that are out
there.

Who would be your pick?  I like Rep. Demmings also, but her police background could potentially be a negative in some circles.  Bottoms and Abrams have been mentioned, but neither of them has even been elected to a statewide office, much less a national office.

I recommend listening to the Daily Beans podcast, 7/27 with Mary Trump interview. Helps understand what we all know, the Russian operative's family background which led to the sociopath we all know. Nothing new per se but good to have an insider's take on his motivations.

Supreme Court just recently ruled on this (Chiafalo v. Washington).  They CANNOT go against the vote of the people.  If the majority voted for Biden, he gets 100% of the electoral votes.  The states have the ability to enforce an elector's pledge in presidential elections.
------------------------------------------------
This is not the way I understand Chiafolo vs Washington, though I could be wrong.

As I understand it, Chiafolo vs Washington says that states that have laws against faithless electors (which is to say 33 states plus D.C. at the time of writing) may enforce those laws. Which is to say, if there are faithless electors in the remaining states (i.e. those without laws against faithless electors), your 100% claim is not true (once again, as I understand it).
