Rudy was focused and human, in his response to and management of
911. Those of us who lived in NYC, during his tenure as mayor can cite
many short comings and issues with his time, in office. 911... he was
magnificent. In the time before and since..... not so much.

Neil: Fascism and socialism and communism all have the same foundation, which is collectivism. The idea that the group is more important than the individual. The differences are just in degrees.

Fascism is all about hierarchy and power, and the cynicism of thinking that for everyone, it’s all about hierarchy and power. The fascist leader believes that, for those endowed with the god-given right to take power, taking power is right. It's a selfish system that gets built upon a central lie-- usually a racist lie-- which makes the fascist group superior to those they abuse.
There is wealth and power for the right sort of people. There is condemnation, exploitation and death for those who are out. There is no "collectivism".
These are in no way the roots as socialism --of any stripe.
