GOP had same hopes for HRC. This seems more like a bedtime for Democrats, just as it was for the GOP. Democrats need to really not just focus on the WH, they need to start gaining in Senate, Congress, Governorship, etc.

The difference between what the GOP tried with HRC and what is happening now with trump....is that the Trump stuff probably has real meat on the bone.
Y'see...if the Hillary accusations were substantive, they would have brought her up on those charges and brought their dreams to fruition. The GOP hyped up and exaggerated and in many case made shit up about HRC. And in rare honest moments, you can find GOP officials who pretty much admit it.
They have been hacking at her for 30 years. 30 years. And I'm no fan of HRC.
The Benghazi accusations were a load of bullshit. Expensive bullshit.

Then you also have Lynch meeting Bill on a tarmac right before decision was made, they have been hacking, but she seemed to give them reason to. The Dems should think about falling into the trap the "birthers" fell into, some GOP beat that stupid drum about his birth certificate, it turned off moderates. If Dems start down with impeach at every turn with no real reason besides we don't like him, or because we lost, it'll have the same impact.

come from the intelligence community, not some weird conspiracy
website. How is this the same as the birthers?

Trump, in his first solo press conference, is blathering on about how great Fox's ratings are, how they have the best breakfast news show, and how bad the ratings are for CNN's show in the evening. Very presidential.

And then, for about the last 60 seconds of his press conference, he came across as properly presidential, saying he will do everything in his power to fix the divided nation.
Whether I believe him is another matter, but he actually came across very well in those final moments.

The man continues to prove, through his words, that he has no
substance and no clue. Babbling with no specificity and droning on
about "good" and "bad" questions, the first of only two "good" questions
as identified by him.... an inane question about his wife's role with tours
of the White House...... he never answers the actual question, though.
Fortunately, everything associated with his administration and those
involved is great and terrific.

Very true, Fred. He does seem to have trouble making a coherent point and staying with a thought long enough to actually go from start to... and, by the way, he is honoured to be working with so and so, whose wife, you should all know, is lovely, and he's working on some things that are going to be great... a lot better than people are expecting... he was just talking to people last night who were saying how great he's been doing... and absolutely wonderful and great as a politician.... I can't believe he's calling himself a politician, but I suppose that's what he is now... a politician.

It's beyond astonishing that Trump is making this about how he's being treated and completely ignoring the fact that his National Security Advisor and his campaign staff were in communication with the Russians!!
Doesn't it occur to anyone in the press that they should just GET UP and WALK OUT?? This wasn't a press conference, it was a tantrum...thrown by a baby!!
