Meanwhile, the worst jobs report in 2 years was just released.----------------------------------- Which jobs report was this?
Not that it's anything to do with Trump, but the jobs market is doing fine by historical standards.

Despite touting time and again that his first 100 days in office will be "the best ever" Trump, not surprisingly, came out swinging against that 100 Day evaluation in a recent Tweet:
“No matter how much I accomplish during the ridiculous standard of the first 100 days, & it has been a lot (including S.C.), media will kill!” Trump wrote on Twitter. The “S.C.” was apparently a reference to Trump’s Supreme Court pick, Justice Neil M. Gorsuch, who was confirmed this month after the Senate changed its filibuster rules over fierce objections from Democrats. Link

By any objective standard it has been a disaster. But we don't have the kind of president that is going to do any "sober reflection". And now he wants to threaten a government shutdown over his pipe dream wall.

***** 2 years was a mistake on my part, but the US created 98,000 jobs in March, vs 180,000 expected...

And most people accept that jobs result was depressed by the nor'easter in March. We will likely see it balance out with a spring back in April. One month in isolation doesn't tell you anything, which is why economists tend to look at moving averages to mitigate the effects of short-term volatility. I don't see what it has to do with Trump -- just as if March was a strong month, I wouldn't see it as strong evidence of Trump doing a good job.
The truth is that the jobs market is in very strong spot -- data released last Thursday shows that the insured unemployment rate is at the lowest since 2000 ( LINK to a pdf from the Labor Dept) -- but this has surely more to do with the Fed's expanded balance sheet over the last few years and the upward curve of the business cycle globally than the actions of the executive office. Certainly it is not governed to any major degree by the last 100 days, rather than it is the result of gradual improvements for several years now.

You are right, however, Trump doesn't seem to think THAT WAY... and that's the only reason it was pointed out.
Regardless, my other points are true and valid.

Heard on the way home that the state department is actually advertising for the Mar A Lago resort. Our embassy in Great Britain is doing the same. |

Charles V: "...Trump doesn't seem to think THAT WAY..."
You used too many words. You could have omitted the capitalized words.
Wall? Not built yet. ISIS? Not only still extant, but NO plan from Trump. Healthplan? Not only not implemented but PULLED BY ITS PARTY. Empty the swamp? He's refilled it and enriched it.
He made all those promises, just as any candidate makes promises. Now I'm sure a lot of his voters are shocked, shocked I say, that he didn't carry through on them.
And those of us who had no doubt about the reality of his so-called promises.

The last stat that I saw, suggested that 96% of those who voted for him would vote for him again, if the election was revisited.
Unfortunately, most watch news that supports their point of view, rather than educate themselves a bit with different news sources.

CNN just reported that the White House has denied requests for documents related to Flynn. Made to the White House by the House Oversight Committee.
