I've always been more of an X-Men fan over Fantastic Four.

Downside, of course, is that stories are not allowed to die natural deaths any more. ADULTS who were not even BORN when Chris and I did "Dark Phoenix" can wander into their LCS and find half a dozen (or more) reprint editions. Thus, stories that should have been long forgotten are kept alive forever!

Those ESSENTIALS and SHOWCASE volumes have provided me with
hours of good reading... And they're handy!

Thank god for digital, now EVERYONE can be BYRNED!!  Perhaps one isn't better than the other (X-Men/FF), for me it depends on my classic re-reading mood at the time. 

As for Masterworks, so sad that they have done away with the softcovers. :(
