Another one I just thought of:

MAGNOLIA, featuring (mostly) Aimee Mann.

Lovely songs, for a pretentious, juvenile and sometimes just downright embarrassing film.

Under the Cherry Moon - Prince

Wonderful soundtrack. I can listen to it all day.

The movie, I wish I could un-watch it. Another 100 minutes of my life I'll never reclaim.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

Add me to the "Flash Gordon was a great movie" club.

Another one:  LA LA LAND

The actual film score, by Justin Hurwitz, is easily one of my favorite soundtracks of the last 10 years.  Instantly fell in love it, when I saw the film a few weeks back.

The film itself?  A great big **raspberry!!**  The story & characters of LA LA LAND don't deserve this score.

Respect your opinion, Shaun, but harsh. Totally get that Magnolia isn't to everyone's tastes but the way the music is used in the film makes it for me.
