Yesterday Warner Bros/DC sent me an email notification that a chunk o' change was being sent to my business account. Thing is, the statement said this was for "Participation," but did not say in what.

I love the mystery checks, t'is true, but I wish they'd itemized.

Of course, I might find out it's for SUPERMAN vs BATMAN and/or SUICIDE SQUAD, and then I'd have to go bathe in turpentine.

With those movies you mention, plus the "Supergirl" TV show and other DC properties that derive story details and characters from your work at the publisher, it could almost be for anything related to that work.

If you get "participation" money for SUPERMAN vs BATMAN, that's gotta be the freest free money of all time; there isn't even a tiny glimmer of your work on Superman in that dreary film.

Or maybe for SUPERGIRL for Silver Banshee.

The look of the Kryptonians in the Man of Steel film look heavily influenced by JB. Too bad the story/script didn't!  Not sure if creative folks get paid for heavily influencing design (unless it's used to promote a film or something like that).

Hoping that you get lots more mystery checks!

I'd guess it's related to CW's SUPERGIRL.

Supergirl also uses Kellex (the Kryptonian robot in Superman's Fortress). Wasn't this also a JB creation?

Paul Kupperberg reported seeing my "fingerprints" all over it, and I must admit, when I watched some of it, I could see what he meant.

I can see what he meant too.  I felt the Doomsday origin seemed cribbed from the Bizarro origin in Man of Steel #5 and some of the Superman/Batman interactions reminded me of issue 3 of that same series.  It wasn't the same, for sure(not being anywhere near as good, for one), but I can see them as inspirations.

Given that Maggie Sawyer has been appearing on Supergirl this season, it's likely something to do with that.

Wasn't Amanda Waller a JB creation? She's been on Arrow, so that could be a part of it.
