I was close to falling asleep in the third quarter when everything went bananas. First OT game in history. First win after trailing by 10 or more (they were down 28-3 well into the third.) A record fifth for Brady and for Belichick; both of their legacies cemented. Just an unbelievable, thrilling comeback win and the capper was the deafening thunderclap of boos for Goodell when he handed Kraft the trophy. Goodell did shake hands with Brady but from there the roadrunner couldn't have gotten off the podium and out the door faster.
9-2 for the post-season for me and I believe I had the best combined reg. season and playoffs record, though Doug won the reg. season. What a final game!!! I may not come down from this for days!!

The game killer was Atlanta losing 23 yards.... They should have run the ball instead of trying to get greedy. Kick the FG and put the game out of reach, but nooooooooooo.....

Wild game for sure. When Atlanta got the pick six I texted my brother and said 'well, this is over.' That's one of many differences between Tom Brady and me!
Once New England won the toss in OT I knew it was going to be over quickly, and it was. Still, Atlanta has a ton of upside and will be part of the Super Bowl conversation for another couple years. Granted, so will New England.

I'm still trying to process what I witnessed last night. Total collapse for the Falcons, and just an impressive comeback for the Pats.
I will say, there is a little consolation in the fact that my NY Giants are still the only team to best Belichick and Brady in the Super Bowl.

Right, because Parcells was their coach when the Packers beat them in XXXI.

The 34 Million Dollar Man is the Vince McMahon of the NFL. Every story needs a villain, and why make it a player? Or a team? That's lost merch revenue. People who never cared about football before knew all about what happened to "poor Tom Brady". The women on my Facebook feed jumping for joy about seeing the Trophy Ceremony are loud and vociferous. And don't know what a hash mark is, or a pylon. #TheAnswerIsAlwaysMoney
