It’s funny. Hella did backflips. Compare this to Aquaman riding a Parademon from the sky through a building and skating out of the building and stopping in front of the camera.

One of these I loved. The other I thought ‘What are you doing’?

Why is this?

I saw it tonight. All the one liners did get old after the first 30 minutes. When all the characters do it, it gets stale. When "Raiden", I mean power within you Thor, was fighting I was waiting for Hulk to say "finish her". Thor did a good Kirk impression with his "What have I done " line. I can tell the actors were enjoying themselves but I guess I was underwhelmed. Seemed more of a What The --?! take on Thor than a Simonson.

Saw this a couple of days ago -- LOTS of fun, the actors were obviously having a good time, and it showed.

In retrospect, it reminded me a lot of a very good Disney park ride -- enjoyable, thrilling, entertaining, leaves you smiling.

Can't say that's a bad thing -- the Pirates of the Caribbean movies became a hit franchise following that formula -- so from a movie making perspective, I'd call this a success, with the potential for cult classic status because it's so darn fun.

I dunno, I liked both about equally.  I had no problem with the Aquaman scene, maybe because it was nice to see a DC hero having fun for a change, and the Aquaman character reminded me a bit of the jovial Asgardians from previous Thor movies, to some degree.

Picked-up the Blu-ray yesterday for my son & me (we both saw it in the theaters last year)...

It looks great and is very funny.  Ultimately too silly for a THOR movie dealing with the "Ragnarok" concept, and the overabundance of CGI can get tiresome in spots, but it's the characters and actors that help keep this one afloat.  Put another way, I think this is a better GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY film than the recent VOL. 2 sequel from last summer.  Heck, it's even a better DEFENDERS film than the current Netflix TV version!

Of all the Marvel Studios movies so far, I would probably stick this one somewhere smack in the middle, maybe even slightly above-average, due to the wonderfully Kirby-esque production design, and for being such an enjoyable breeze to sit through.

Not great filmmaking, mind you, but still fun!
