How did Frank Miller appear health wise?  He has seemed so frail looking in photos from last year, but he seems to look better in the photos I have seen of him taken this weekend.

She already signed my book, and I posted the Metamorpho
sketch in the New artwork thread.

For all the times I have met Howard Chaykin, I finally
got him to sign my original news stand copy of Superman
#400 which I bought nearly 33 years ago.

Frank has been sick for a while, but he seems to be
holding up ok. It's Rich Buckler I am worried about.
He has been very sick, and he was a no show this weekend
(as well as Stan Lee).

Never went to a con, but Miller and Pérez made me consider it.

I know JB wouldn't want to post speculation on Frank Miller's health, but has it been announced that Frank has been sick?

I heard it from one of his friends who said he didn't
think it was a secret. And other regular attendees at
the con seemed to know too. If JB has an issue with my
post, I am sure he will take it down or tell me, Marc.

And since I am hoping this becomes our 2017 con thread,
here is a pic of me and Greg LaRocque at the
Philadelphia Comic Con back in January.

Last year it dawned on me that I always take my camera so I remembered to get my picture taken with Lee Meriwether and Ray Park at the Cincinnati comic Expo.

I wasn't aiming that at you Ted. There
was a thread some time back regarding
Frank's health and it was eventually
locked due to the speculative nature of
the posts.

I cannot imagine Frank being ill has been any kind of secret.

I think a lot of fans have a hard time knowing where the line between "interest" and "intrusive" is sometimes.  Granted it can be totally different depending on the comic book creator, but it's always something to keep in mind when you meet someone "famous".

This certainly isn't to point a finger at anyone here, it's just a personal observation (by someone who really isn't that into meeting famous people).

edited for spelling.

Question to all, Which of the 2017 conventions are you wanting to attend, and who are you wanting to see.

I would like to make it to Heroes Con (June 16-18) to see Michael Zeck, Tim Sale, Lee Weeks, Eric Powell, Michael Golden, Klaus Janson and Bill Sienkiewicz

And please post a link to the guest list:

This thread seems to have worked its way into my subconscious! Frank made an appearance in a dream I had last night. A first!

A younger, healthier Frank, looking much as he did the last time I saw him, at the Eisner memorial more than a decade ago.

So hard to think that Frank is seven years younger than me!

I'll probably make the Heroes Con and may make the convention in Greenville next weekend. That will be it for me.

I'm thinking about going to the Motor City Con this year (and dragging my niece and nephew along). I think JB was at the last Motor City Con I went to (94 or 95 - Danger Unlimited was coming out at the time).

Question for people that have been to Motor City Con recently - do art dealers show up? I'd really only be going for original art / commission purposes, and seeing whatever the kids wanted to do. Is it worth the time?
