Michael Casselman- You are correct! That was Limited Collectors Edition C-22. I had the opposite problem. I don't think I was ever able to lay hands on the second edition, with Tarzan fighting the lion against a green background.

James Best- Thank you, sir! I have fond memories of that issue. I could not believe I was holding an actual (albeit reprinted) chapter of the long-fabled Galactus Trilogy in my hands! Heady stuff!

Leigh & Joseph, thank you! I had a job with a major back issue comics retailer on and off for five years. I worked upstairs in the office, but still had a lot of contact with the inventory and spoke with a great many customers placing phone orders who either didn't know or couldn't remember the issue number of the comic they wanted. "I know it had the Sub-Mariner on it, and it was a space comic..." :-)

Meanwhile, Dave Phelps seems to be blowing the lid off this contest at the moment! Nice work, Dave!

Mike Norris- Green Lantern #40! A classic!

And here's the cover of the Tarzan reprint I first read back in 1973...

The earliest I can recall had:

... for the senses-shattering showdown with the Space Phantom and Grim Reaper

Check...
and Mate!

Spider-Man: "I---I must be SEEING things!"
   "You can't be standing there....        &nb sp;
               YOU'RE   DEAD!!!"

    If you can read only ONE Spidey story this year,         & nbsp;
                    it has to be THIS ONE!         &n bsp;
            THE DELUSION CONSPIRACY!
