My current dream commission includes an appearance by Vanguard.••• Don't tell Wallace (we all know what an egotistical maniac he is!!) but I included Vanguard in the Conclave because our Mr. W said how much he enjoyed the appearance in JBNM!

I am on an Amtrak train somewhere between New York and
Washington, DC, battling fatigue, hunger and seating that seems
designed to thwart my every attempt at achieving much-needed
repose. If luck is on my side (and it rarely is), my final destination still
won't be reached for at least another two hours.
However, all thoughts of discomfort have been washed away by what I
just read, and replaced with a sense of utter contentment and joy.

Well, firstly, it was that I didn't like some as much... not that I didn't like them!
I don't recall disliking Bruce Jr. until his encounter with the JSA... and then, I wrote it off to temporary insanity (something that would seem a necessary flaw to any Batman who wasn't Bruce Wayne.)
There were characters I despised... but you made them despicable, so I enjoyed disliking them. One example is the Florida bus driver from JBNM.
And quite honestly, I wouldn't spend my time focusing on the negatives when there is so much positive to appreciate in your body of work!

I don't know Wallace at all (other than through reading his posts on here for many years) but what a wonderful thing that must have been for him to read (re. Vanguard). :)
