Tell me about it. For over a month, we had GOT and TP on the same night. Good times for a fan of both.

It hearkened to the glory days of Community-Office-Parks&Rec-30Rock and Seinfeld-Friends-ER. Or when Breaking Bad was on the same night as Boardwalk Empire. Or the Sopranos and Rome! Just so much good tv in a couple hours once a week.

Although I found it a little overwhelming to watch both GoT and TP in one night. The episodes were so intense and produced such distinct buzzes I would sometimes just watch one show two times and come back the next day and do the same for the other.

Speaking of buzzes, I prepped for the last couple weeks by engaging in a long yoga nidra deep meditation (Lynch is energetic advocate for transcendental meditation, which isn't the same thing, but whatever). My consciousness was banging like a gong! It really made the dragons and the bududubudubudubudub vibrate and shimmer. I recommend it.

Another Twin Peaks actor takes the last train. Saddened by the passing of Harry Dean Stanton. He was 91 years old.

His performance of Red River Valley in one of the episodes was my favorite musical performance from the revival.

I loved the series. Each episode delivered something exciting, mind-bending and funny. The acting was great. I loved seeing Laura Dern and Sherilynn Fenn again. And Machlachlan killed it.

Lynch is an artist and treats his movies and tv like a heady painter and I for one love it. It's obtuse sometimes but also moving and entertaining.

And he never fails to surprise.
