I would have guessed a hippo was larger than a rhino. Reminds me of when I used to do things in Strata. Very cool video.

Human and gorilla, both 1.7 meters... and yet...!!!•• They can beat the snot out of us, but they can't write a symphony! (And, no, neither can I.)

And calling them "water bears" don't make 'em any more cute. Yeesh.
Still, even that creature possesses, no matter how distant, a perceptible resemblance to... us!

We're all related. As Sagan said, to an alien observer it might appear as if the Earth is covered with a biological film.

One of the philosophical elements of this video goes to the concept of life itself. When I sit out on my terrace in the Summer, having lunch, I am very much aware of all the bugs of different sizes that scurry about at my feet. Ants, for instance, like the smaller of the two in this lineup. And I cannot help but think about them being alive. Every bit as much alive, in fact, as I am.So when this clip takes ups from the Tardigrade to the Blue Whale, the thing to keep in mind is that there is no quantification in the fact that they are all alive. Alive is alive, and when I swat a fly I am killing something that is just as much alive as I am. (Which is why my approach to bugs in my house takes more of the "capture and release" form.)

I'm absolutely the same JB. I can't kill a fly, a wasp, a moth, a spider unless accidentally whilst trying to move one.
And as for the number of times I've nearly swerved my car into a ditch to avoid birds, wildlife etc.
