Interesting. Favorite? It's changed over the years. The first time had a favorite was probably Captain America, around the issues of 250 or so with Byrne/Stern. Just really liked how he was portrayed. This was in Jr. High Shortly after that I encountered Wolverine in X-Men. Again Byrne art. I thought the scrappy short Canadian was pretty awesome. This was during the later part of the run when Wolverine was being developed more. Miller's limited edition enhanced this. But as I got older it dawned on me that Wolverine was kind of a psychopath and probably not a good "hero" to get inspiration from. This was around high school. After that it became the Silver Surfer -- and he has remained so ever since. I really enjoyed his contemplative nature in contrast to his exceptional power. He was just really humble and I could imagine him souring through the stars. I went back and found older copies that I could enjoy. This was around college.
