Interesting. Favorite? It's changed over the years.
The first time had a favorite was probably Captain America, around the issues of 250 or so with Byrne/Stern. Just really liked how he was portrayed. This was in Jr. High
Shortly after that I encountered Wolverine in X-Men. Again Byrne art. I thought the scrappy short Canadian was pretty awesome. This was during the later part of the run when Wolverine was being developed more. Miller's limited edition enhanced this. But as I got older it dawned on me that Wolverine was kind of a psychopath and probably not a good "hero" to get inspiration from. This was around high school.
After that it became the Silver Surfer -- and he has remained so ever since. I really enjoyed his contemplative nature in contrast to his exceptional power. He was just really humble and I could imagine him souring through the stars. I went back and found older copies that I could enjoy. This was around college.

For close to thirty years it has been Batman. Best costume, gadgets, his rogues' gallery, the mythos, the origin, that whole noirish visual slant that is aytpical for superheroes. The best!

Classic Captain America.  Because he represents the best in us.

Superboy, specifically with the LSH in the 70's-80's.  Even now those stories make me smile.

I've always been a Spider-Man fan. I have tended to gravitate toward heroes that are not overly powerful, but there are exceptions.
