I was looking at another article and saw this posting that Flo Steinberg passed away today. I couldn't find any verification, but why would someone want to prank this?

I suspect she was a bigger part of Marvel's success than most of us suspect. Stan's "Gal Friday" probably filled in a lot around the edges. May her memory be for a blessing.

I was thinking of her just the other day. She was literally the first person I met at Marvel.*

Now I have tears in my eyes.

------------

* She'd left in 1968, before I was even considering a career in comics, but when I first visited Marvel in 1971, she was stepping onto the elevator as I was stepping off. My guide introduced us. (I'll confess, at that moment I had no idea who she was!)

Did I read correctly that she had touched more original Marvel artwork than anyone else?

R.I.P.

I figure I'd post this since we had been doing JB cameos in another thread.
