I often wile away idle moments by thinking of the titles that JB has created and how they fit together. I keep wondering if I might have missed one or two, so thought I'd share my musings and invite all to fill in any gaps I might have left.

For me, the this extended universe has three parts:

Part 1:

Next Men
2112
The High Ways (featuring Next Men's Eddie Wallace)
Finder of Lost Children (online only)

Part 2:

(These titles exist, I assume, as comics in Next Men's universe given the Hellboy's existence in magazines there whilst being a peer of DU and Babe.)

Danger Unlimited
Babe

Part 3:

(These titles exist in parallel universe to that of DU, as stated when Golgotha travelled from one to another.)

Trio
Triple Helix
Lab Rats (featuring Trio's Quinlan)
Conclave (soon to be published by IDW ;) )

So indulge me, and/or write me off as having  too much time on my hands, what have I have missed?

As a very subtle "branding", I had Dark Horse and IDW use a specific font to letter NEXT MEN. In fact, I call it my NEXT MEN font!

It took a great deal of self control on my part not to use that font on my STAR TREK books!

Great idea Matthew. I'd love to imagine a crossover between many of these characters.

I remember that. Was it based on lettering you had done by hand?

Good shout - I'd forgotten ToL. He would sit in Part 2 - or perhaps Tier 2 is a better description.

I didn't include anyone that hadn't appeared in their own title (such as the female Human Torch whose names escapes me) but Trogg does raise an interesting question: Does he exist in the same comic book world as DU and Hellboy or does he exist with a different (imaginary) publisher? This is possible, given that Elf Quest featured in Next Men.

This also brings up the question of Vanguard. Given that he is also made real in Next Men, I assume he also exists in the comics of that world. As a member of Conclave, then that would suggest all those in Part 3 also do.

There is Doomsday.1 too. I guess I was thinking of the creator owned titles where there was a crossover with another.

John Byrne, of all the these creations, which one were you most satisfied with?

A thought: has any other single creator helmed as many titles that exist within the same universe?
