I've decided that the president of the United States is appealing to a well-armed, angry fringe group that he knows will rush to defend him because he'd rather start a civil war than be impeached.

Trump is still playing from the Hitler playbook, and has been since early 2016.  So it should come as no surprise that he's trying hard to not piss off the white supremacists and their ilk.  At some point all this violence will be blamed on the girl who was killed and her fellow peaceful protesters....

He also says Bannon isn't racist.

(What year is that from, David?)

Considering how popular Stan Lee and the Marvel movies are right now, I hope this goes viral all over Facebook and Twitter.  JBForum Members... assemble!

(EDIT:  Brilliant, yes this has already gone viral on Stan's Twitter feed.  Good on him!)

Not sure of the year.  The sentiment is right on time though, ain't it?

Oh man, those are what he really thinks aren't they? That's a blue touch paper to all sides if ever there was one.

Maybe he's so convinced that conflict brings about better things that he thinks America in a state of total conflict will be great again.

I am so worried for your country at the moment.

He's spot-on. Vilifying groups of people is wrong.

Despite my dislike of 45, it doesn't mean I'm going to start hating all of those with hairstyles like his or corrupt capitalists with low IQs. Both of those apply to 45, but I won't suddenly start hating others with those traits (although I doubt anyone has a hairstyle as lame as that - has he ever thought about having a trim with some scissors?).

Trump is a foul, weak willed, disassociated personality, and he's not even the worst part; the electorate that put him in office is truly despicable. Hillary Clinton was right, but her basket couldn't possibly have been big enough.

Trump needs to be the groom at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral. If he is not directly involved, as a positive element, then it's of no interest to him, save as an insult that needs to be squashed like a ladybug.

His faint and flaccid comments about Charlottesville, and his complete ignorance of the questions that ALL the reporters were yelling at him, indicates what he truly thinks of his white supremacist and Nazi base of supporters, and what he truly wants. Using this, and violence in Chicago, and other events, I dread - but anticipate - Trump's creation of a special security force that will respond* to these things and keep the peace and order. Or as might be said, En freidlich und en ordnung.

I'm not the first to invoke Godwin's Law here, but Nazis have already been brought into the conversation - and not condemned in the strongest possible terms by THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

You can bet your ass that I see us following a path traveled by Germany eighty years ago. It might be time to question how to save the USA?

*I said respond... but we know Trumps Secret Police will be searching out corruption and villains, and arresting them before anything can happen.

I said this when he was elected and I'll say it again, because this really does seem to be the playbook he is using:
- He is making people not trust the mainstream, professional media - even calling them fake news as they ask a difficult question
- He's decreasing confidence in official law enforcement establishments
- He's decreasing confidence in the intelligence agencies
- He's decreasing confidence in the voting system

Come 2020, you guys are going to see one of two things.
He gets re-elected
He claims all the above worked against him, stirs up the alt-right, the preppers, the survivalists, the anti-establishment and you have a President who refuses to leave office

The temperature on our Cold Civil War just went up a few dozen degrees.....

I spent an hour looking at pistols online last weekend.

I fucking hate guns.  But in the coming months I might have to get over it.

EDIT it add:
We haven't heard the word 'Russia' in awhile, have we?

You need a distraction?  Play the 'Nazi adjacent card' and you got one.

That Stan Lee soapbox is from 1968.

Stan the Man himself posted it yesterday online.

Oh, only if his kind of class were at the head of the nation...!
