This DVD (I don't own it) claims to have real footage of Sasquatch:

If true, they should have been able to get a bit of hair or skin from where the Bigfoot / Bigfeet trod. Do DNA tests.

Damn, Joe, I was all set to correct you, because I always thought that it was Ted Cassidy that played Bigfoot in THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN, but checking on IMDB showed me the error of my ways...
BTW, my 12 year old son loves watching "Bigfoot Hunters" on The Discovery Channel, but I can't stand it...

Anyone here a fan of the Bigfoot and Wild Boy Saturday morning TV series from the 70's?

While surfing on youtube, I randomly watched some bigfoot related videos that got me intrigued in the subject. What I find quite convincing is the many tree structures found in the woods that would take incredible efforts to hoax on that scale by a bunch of loonies. Also there’s a guy who analyzes a lot of the claimed footage and says that all modern humans show a leg/arm length ratio resulting in having arms around 20% shorter than legs. This ratio just cannot be convincely faked with arm extensions because the elbow position would shift in relation to the total arm length. All man in the suit show that 20% ratio, even Chewbaca and Harry from Harry and the Hendersons movie. On the Paterson-Gimlin 16mm film footage the creature show a ratio around 6% whereas big apes have longer arms than legs, which puts that creature in between. As for the lack of bones found, some claim that bodies have been found but either never took seriously or not made public by authories. I think if this species do exist, we’d better leave them alone and continue to beleive they belong to legends and fairy tales along with the Loch Ness monster and other non-sense, for their own good. If you want to take a look at a very clever new approach on this subject I recommand you watch the youtube videos this young guy puts in his youtube chanel Utah Sasquatch.

I think if someone ever found proof of a Sasquatch, they would be advertising it far and wide. Think of the money they would make. As NASA once said, if they had proof of life on Mars, why would they cover it up? They would immediately get a huge jump in their budget to start planning for a trip to Mars.

Those who argue for the reality of Sasquatch often cite the gorilla, another "hairy man" who was thought to be no more than legend until one was captured. But the mystery of the gorilla was only about a century old, from a European perspective, when its truth was proven. Native legends of Sasquatch date back at least 700 years, long before Europeans arrived. Presumably real creatures would have been around much, much longer -- unless we wish to imagine some kind of sudden, spontaneous genesis. Time is one of the most important factory in judging the validity of Sasquatch legends. To cover even the relatively short span of seven centuries, there would be need for a small tribe of very long-lived animals, or a large breeding population.

According to some of the videos I saw it seems that they can be found very close to human cities, they can be very discreet and have been reported all over the USA and Canada, that’s potential for large population I would think.

You're both right. Andre the Giant played Bigfoot in the original two-parter. Cassidy had the role in the character's later appearances(the two-parter that crossed over to 'The Bionic Woman', and then a final, single, episode that was as forgettable as the rest of 'SMDM"s 5th season).

I try to be open-minded, but it stretches credibility to breaking levels for me.
I also think some WANT to see the creature. Not anyone here, but I saw a documentary where one guy claimed if you hit the trees with wood, the Sasquatches, if comfortable, would hit a tree from afar, also with wood. A form of "Morse code" between human and Sasquatch. Apparently, many in this particular region were doing that.
Hang on, how do they know it's Sasquatch returning the "Morse Code" and not other Sasquatch enthusiasts?
(Sorry, can't recall the documentary or region mentioned).

Or an echo? On a similar note,on `This Morning` this morning they were interviewing an old American guy who claims to have lost his virginity to aliens that have been abducting him since he was a kid.He has painted lots of pictures of his abductors, but when he was asked why he`d never took a photo, you could tell he was flummoxed and had no credible answer! In these days of camera phones, you`d think there`d be pictures of Nessie, Bigfoot and aliens nowadays!
