There's now a character named Diggle in GREEN ARROW, Wonder Woman's costume is now very, very close to the movie version, Gar Logan is being drawn much like his TEEN TITANS GO! counterpart...but that's about it, I think.
Oh, I think Aquaman is getting long hair and a beard again, but no costume change or personality change. ------- From a marketing stand point that's how it should have been done between marvel studios and comics a male Thor,Steve Rogers and the Avengers with same line up as movies . the characters should be close to the same as they saw on screen attract new readers and new customers, sell comics in the lobby of the theatre promote digital comics . get the kids hooked .

That is the LOGICAL thing to do, right? Brilliant idea. Wish I thought of it.

It'd probably be effective to have a bar code the kids can scan for an app.

AND let their ticket stub count as a discount that they can redeem on line, but be worth MORE at an actual shop. Guardians of the Galaxy video on demand purchase, bought on Amazon gives me a free GotG digital comic book and some other digital comics related goodies.
Keep it literal. Buy something for the real world (ie movie ticket) and it helps in the physical retail world. Buy online, get online rewards.

I have previously considered that when Marvel Cinema released "The Avengers" that an eight page giveaway might boost sales and get some feet in comic book stores. Put some really good talent on it - as an example, Roger Stern and Mark Bagley (who I think are two heavy hitters) to attract the "kids". Ditto for the some of the other movies.
I also heard that apparently, the expected return from such an investment would be prohibitively expensive and get very little response. Now, personally, I think a lot of crap that the Big Two have released has been a waste, and it might be worth a try. But I'm not a Money Man... I have no idea if it's feasible or not. I guess Marvel knows better about their finances than I do, and that they're doing just fine. Hee hee hee.

A download code would cost a lot less than a paper freebie.

I've been seeing reprint digests in the checkouts of supermarkets, lately. These digests reprint various Spider-Man and Avengers stories from several different eras.
Of course, these digests are appearing in supermarkets which once sold actual comics, but now no longer do (and haven't for years). So, I'd call these digests, "too little, too late".

I've never really been in favor of line wide reboots like DC has done over the last 30 years. That said, Marvel needs one. There's not a lot of logic in trying to climb out of a hole using a shovel. You just end up digging a bigger hole. Normally, if a character is broken, I think you just start writing better stories and leave the garbage behind. But, what do you do when you've broken EVERYTHING?!?
I think it's time Marvel decided to play honest with the fanbase as well. When Marvel has panels at conventions, they need to own up to the problems with the readers. "Folks, over the last 15 years, we've been writing ourselves into a hole and never managed to dig our way out. We blew it. We understand our readers are upset, and we're planning something that will right the ship."
I have my issues with the DC publishing team, but they've received some good will by owning their mistakes and fortunately for them, their CCO, actually has a clue. When they've steered the car towards a cliff, they at least seem to know when to hand the keys over to someone who at least knows how to drive, even if he's the only one.

Screen Rant had more to the info coming out of Marvel Link
The telling thing to me is that they don't want to burn bridges with certain writers, not understanding that it's those writers that got them in this mess in the first place. Then there's Ike. The man who once saved Marvel seems to be it's biggest problem. I have to assume Disney is going to step in at some point and I don't think anyone, including the readers are going to be happy.
Considering the mandate, it's ALMOST funny to think that JB's X-Men: Hidden Years is a book that gives Ike what he wants and gives fans an X-Men book they'd love to read, we're it released right now. I've suggested, that bringing veteran talent from the our golden age, late 70's through the 80's would help, but damn, that's REALLY WHAT THEY NEED, PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO WRITE, DRAW AND CAN SELL COMIC BOOKS!
Even more disturbing is that they have an EIC that doesn't seem to be keeping the books from stepping on top of each other.

Ooh, that's very good way of illustrating what was right and what is wrong.

What would be the point? It would still be the same creative types under the same management. Status quo-wise, it wouldn't be too difficult to get the characters where you want them to be (there may be a few we'd have to live without, but so it goes) and then you just take it from there and don't speak of what you want to ignore.
