No further info, but Paul Kupperberg has reported the sad news that Len Wein has passed away. Len was involved in one way or another in so many great comics that I loved. Terrible news.

Sad.

I love his work. He was one of the first names, along with Denny O'Neill, that I became aware of. As a kid, I'm not entirely sure I looked at creator credits, but around the age of 8/9, I started recognizing certain names - Len Wein, Denny O'Neil and others were such people.

Very sorry to hear there.

Mr. Wein was ubiquitous in the 70s, most of my prime reading years. He could write for many, many different kinds of characters, and all equally well.

69 way too young to go.  Life's just not fair.

Bummer. He wrote some of the first comics I ever read when I started reading comics, including BLUE BEETLE and LEGENDS, and I read a lot of the books he edited at mid-Eighties DC. And of course I quickly became familiar with his legendary creations Swamp Thing and the New X-Men. On the old Compuserve forums he was far more polite and gracious than any 12 year old fanboyling with a million doofy questions deserved.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Sorry to hear.

A name from my earliest comic book reading.

And yes, way too young.
