Practically every person who came to get books signed thanked me for coming to the Con. That was a long way from the shuffling, dead eyed zombies who just wanted every book in their longboxes signed.

A fun moment: Walter and I were interviewed by SYFY, and on before us were a couple of actors from THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE. I realized that one of them was Rufus Sewell, whose work I have long enjoyed. So when they were done with their interview I scurried over to say so, "...all the way back to COLD COMFORT FARM."

His face lit up at the mention of this title. "Oh, that's one of my favorites!"

So, a little moment within a little moment.

Nope.

One convention experience that was perhaps aggravated by my long absence was the inability to go more than ten paces without being intercepted by people with varying degrees of demands on my time. (At cons, even the best behaved fans often have no consideration of anybody's time but their own.)

I didn't get to explore the convention at all.

Those are really great smiles! I know there was probably some frustrating moments. But this is really great to see!

Man. I really regret not being able to go.
The panel sounded great and I'm truly happy
you got the "heroes welcome back" to cons.
Even if it were for only this one off
appearance.
