Way back in the eighties I worked at a comic store (Comic Master)
a guy came into the store with a stack of a recent issue of fantastic four with John Byrnes autograph and wanted know how much he could get for them?
Not a cent said Dale the owner for 2 reasons
A) an autographed issue should be a keepsake not to make a buck off of
B)Those are really bad forgerys
After he left we called our friendly competitors and let them know about the bogus autographs.

I read the thread about this and this guy admitted to trying to sneak an extra non-IDW comic to get his "just one more" but got caught by those meanies at IDW making him stick to the rules (which apparently didn't apply to him.) He also bragged about how he was going to get the book he got signed slabbed. No wonder JB quit doing cons.

I hate how these 'fans' spoil it for all of us.

We see it everywhere, e.g. the colleague who thinks that the 9am start doesn't apply to him - and walks into work at 9:15am. And when a manager gives him some leeway, he then starts showing up at 9:20 instead.

Really irks me. There are rules - and people should stick to them.

I do wish these people would also realize that 'one more' from everyone would create longer queues for all.
