Is a fully integrated Marvel Cinematic Universe on the horizon?  Would Disney finally do the Fantastic Four movie we've all been waiting for?

I'm picturing a Galactus sequence in which the Devourer leaves Norrin Radd to clean up the Worldship but lazy Norrin uses the Power Cosmic to animate a broom to do the work for him...

Hugh Jackman said the only thing that could bring him back would be a Wolverine story with the Avengers...

Ha.....interesting move. If Fox won't sell back the right to FF and X-Men, then buy the "whole" enchilada. I like it if it means we'll see a fully integrated universe. Too bad it didn't happen before Infinity War.

On a side note, I think Thanos is going to win the war and destroy everything, then somehow the heroes will come back for a victory in the second, movie, but reality as we know will be different/changed. For some reason, many heroes won't look the same as before (new actors) and suddenly the FF and X-Men will exist.

Then.......then everyone against the one true Galactus!!!

Lots of speculation on the business networks (especially CNBC) as to what motivating the issue. For example:  https://www.cnbc.com/video/2017/11/06/michael-wolff-what-dis neys-fox-deal-means-for-murdoch-family.html

___

The Comcast news home page has already replaced their "cancelled" piece with a "secret" talks piece. Terrible secret!

"Reported conversations that took place between Disney and 21st Century Fox were never about Disney acquiring the X-Men; they were always about Disney clutching Futurama."

Disney is starting its own subscription video on demand
service. Adding 21st Century Fox's library would make
it a true rival to Netflix.

Plus getting the rest of the Star Wars rights wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks very much, Michael.

Seem to be a lot of contradictory reports on the 'net today.

It makes sense that Disney is more interested in Fox's overall content rather than just the X-Men and FF. Marvel Studios is doing just fine turning obscure characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy into hits. And I would go so far as to say characters like Iron Man and Captain America were considered obscure and unappealing before the success of their respective movies.

But yeah, Marvel Studios will have an even brighter future with the X-Men and FF in their control. Not even their "magic touch" can do much with characters like Morbius the Living Vampire.

It would be hard to market a film that every wit and wag out there in commentary land would pronounce "More B.S. from Marvel Studios."

Guys, worrying about stuff like this is part of what destroyed comics. Why do you need to know? Why do you even care?

You're right. When you put it that way, you're right!

It's funny but I learnt of some behind-the-scenes woes pertaining to DOCTOR WHO MAGAZINE recently. Some of it is horrible and very negative. But it didn't stop me, as a subscriber, enjoying the issues as they were published in 2017.

I guess I enjoyed SUPERMAN THE MOVIE without knowing of the issues between the Salkinds and Donner.

I wouldn't say "care" is the right word.  More like I'm interested.  The behind the scenes business stuff absolutely translates into what is seen on the screen, or the page.  It doesn't change how I feel about the finished product.  But it is fun to read about.

I find myself asking those questions more often... and I'm starting to enjoy life more and more because I know the answers are always the same:
-I don't need to know (it's nice to find out some information that can enrich something you like -like most of your anecdotes JB-)
-I don't really care (it's more like I pretended to care about something that has no relevance  for my life or the enjoyment of a comic, a movie, a cartoon or a TV show)

I no longer read comics; haven't in years, but I still have a soft spot for the superhero genre. The Disney-Marvel movies give me a two-hour slice of fun and nostalgia that I don't get from the Fox-Marvel movies.  I would like to see a Fantastic Four movie that offers the fun and nostalgia that I receive from the Disney-produced Marvel movies.  I believe the only way I will get that is if the movie is produced by Disney.  Therefore, I hope that Disney gains control of the Fantastic Four film rights.

+++++
If marvel can have success with Groot then anything is possible. I could see
Morbius working well if Blade ever shows up in a Netflix series.

I like how auto-correct keeps wanting to change Morbius to Morris.
