To be fair to Gotham (a wildly uneven and inconsistent series) the actual focus of the show is more on James Gordon and his rise within the GCPD. The Bruce Wayne becoming Batman plotline is more of a sideline.

Even less reason to watch, being much more a fan of Batman than of Jim Gordon.

The most recent season has gotten out of hand. It's focused on villain in-fighting/gang warfare, then on Jim Gordon reacting to it, and Bruce seems to be in maybe two-thirds to three-quarters of the episodes(and acting like a punk). The villain scenery-chewing has been taking up too much time.

I've only seen the firsts 4 or 5 episodes of GOTHAM before deciding it had nothing to offer me but I'm still pissed that its mere existence means we won't ever get a GOTHAM CENTRAL series based on the comic book by Brubaker and Rucka that would've been incredible.

Batman is my favorite DC hero, but I just couldn't get into GOTHAM. I watched most of the first season, but I have not watched it since.

Does Airwolf's descent into syndication with a completely different cast and recycled stock footage count?

I don't even know if the distributors consider these final seasons even part of the original show.

Whatever the distributors say, it is canon (although it doesn't feel like it). It references the previous era and its main character is a brother of the guy who was in the first three seasons.

It's bizarre, though. For three seasons, the espionage agency was called "The Firm" and everyone wore white suits; at the beginning of season 4, when continuity should have been paramount, it became "The Company" and everyone wore non-white suits.

Airwolf was supposed to be this elite helicopter that only a few could fly (its creator, the heroes in the original series, etc.). In the fourth season, the pilots were flying it, but so was the spy chief, Jason Locke.

It's canon, but it doesn't feel like it.
