The division at Marvel was also 2/1 between pencilers and inkers. Inkers got every third double page spread.

I've been reading/buying comics since 1976.  It wasn't until about 2005 that I discovered the original art was something people bought and sold.

...all that wasted time...

Geoffrey sometimes I look at old catalogs, that offered original art, and just shake my head at the prices.  I don't think anyone ever thought a Kirby, or a Romita, or a Byrne, piece of art would ever fetch the kind of prices we are now seeing.
