Ok JB, you win the thread with the title alone.
I can't come up with anything else.

A fine actor!

I recently read his autobiography, A LIFE IN PARTS. Loved it. A fascinating look at his life, career, and how he approaches his craft. Highly recommended!

His Heisenberg looks like a John Byrne character to me.

Come to think of it, so do Jesse and Saul Goodman.

Happy birthday!

As a space enthusiast, I have a favorite minor Cranston role: Buzz Aldrin in From the Earth to the Moon on HBO, 20 years ago (!). That series was inconsistent in casting actors who looked like the astronauts they portrayed; some were pretty close (Paul McCrane as Pete Conrad), others were way off (Ted "Buffalo Bill" Levine as Al Shepard). Cranston resembles the younger Dr. Aldrin only vaguely, but he nailed all the proper Buzz qualities: the intelligence, the prickliness, the complicated relationship with Neil Armstrong, even the spiritual side of the guy.

A fantastic actor, no question.

Cranston is a fine actor with an amazing range, but most of what you describe there would be in the writing!

Fair enough, JB (and true). Still, I think that a lesser actor might have taken the same script and played Aldrin as a martinet or a blowhard, whereas Cranston brought subtlety to it, the sense of a man with a lot of hidden depth. Not unlike Walter White, actually.
