SIDEWAYS #2 for me along with KONG ON THE PLANET OF THE APES #5.
The Kong/POTA crossover is well worth a read, folks!

Shawn, what did you make of SIDEWAYS?
I derived some mild enjoyment from the first issue, but like so many comics today (not all!), you really feel like you want to wait for the trade. Not much happened in the first issue, although I like the carefree attitude of the character.

Robbie,I liked it. I think all of the New Age of DC Hero books so far seem kind of like "place setters" for me so I think the pace of the first issues will be a little slow. I like the look and the feel of the character (very Spider-Man to me) but I hope it picks up with this issue. I feel that these new books have a very Marvel-vibe, maybe because of the method that they're being produced or maybe they because seem to be Marvel riffs to me (Terrifics-FF, Damage-Hulk, Sideways-Spider-Man) but as $2.99 monthly books, I'm willing to give them a few issues to establish themselves.

Good point. I did buy TERRIFICS and DAMAGE, too. I agree with your point!

THE TERRIFICS certainly seems like it's going to be a fun series. As long as it's fun I don't mind it being derivative.

Lots of Jeff Lemire recently:
The Terrifics Gideon Falls Doctor Star
Very enjoyable books, though my current Lemire favourites are Black Hammer and Royal City.

According to Comichron, THE TERRIFICS was the most reordered book of March. It appears to be a hit!
