I know JB drew the FF for many years, but it was this version of Sue the one that got printed forever in my mind. Thanks JB!

Sue is tough to get right. She is, to use a current term, Marvel's original MILF. But, importantly, and to use an older term, a classy dame.

Absolutely, and that is what you gave us in those issues of Namor.

Great way to describe the character JB!

I think of Grace Kelley when I see Sue drawn correctly.

Who inked the panels posted above? The extensive parallel hatching does not seem like Joe Sinnot.

Wow, brings back the memories.  There was nothing like Namor and duo-shade paper!  Namorita was also quite hot.

Loved the duo-shade, and the art in general, in Namor.

And Peter Hicks -- that's JB's inks over his own pencils.

I was re-reading JB's FF run recently and was continually drawn to his Sue. I don't know if JB based her on someone, but she looks so familiar

My favorite Sue Storm story was in #241 which featured a great H. Rider Haggard style lost civilization that time forgot and co-starred the Black Panther. I remember at the end someone had to hand over a shirt before Sue could become visible again... now it'd be an excuse for at one huge nude splash page I suppose.

Y'know, JB's entire FF run is probably my favorite JB run of any book he's done.  Whenever I see pages from it, I always think back about how great it was and how much I loved it.
