Great interview.  I know you don't like doing them, but you are so classy, detailed, and knowledgeable that I could listen to you talk for hours and not be bored.

Were you happy with the way the interview was condensed? Or was there something on the cutting room floor that you wish had been included?

They did a very skillful job of pruning the interview. Most of what was cut was Marvel meanderings.

Hmm. I see they have not as yet added those art credits.

When watching it I didn't understand why they used the art of Frank Quitely and others but I greatly enjoyed all the Byrne art that was used and am not sure why it wasn't exclusively your art (even though it mostly was). It made sense to use the stills from Superman the Movie since it was the topic of discussion, but Quitely's art from All-Star Superman, not so much.

Not new, Bill. More in the nature of an excerpt.

Hm, just realized that the way this clip is framed and presented, it's as if I'm saying my story is my favorite Superman story, not merely my favorite from my own run.

Nice interview--it's only the second time I've heard JB's voice.

Nice Darwin lapel pin, too.

Darwin, plus an atheist A, and from a friend who belongs to the group, the Doomsday Clock.

Locked and loaded!

Reminding me of a scene in THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS, when a young woman raises a crucifix in an attempt to stop a vampire.

He: Oy, did you pick the wrong vampire!

LOVE AT FIRST BITE, sort of, repeated the joke when
someone tried to take out George Hamilton's Dracula with
a star of David.

By the way, in case anyone didn't know and was
interested, the only time I know that METROPOLIS 900
MILES was ever reprinted was in a collection DC did for
the LOIS AND CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN.
After losing my collection to a flood 2 years ago, I
managed to hunt down all of the MAN OF STEEL trades. I
noticed it wasn't incorporated. So, I found the L&C trade
at a garage sale and it was in there.
