It's impossible for me to choose just one. There have been so many favorites since I first picked up X-Men #109 off the spinner rack.

I want to post more JB panels, but the rules have restricted me from doing so. :(

Surprised that no one has offered the oft-mentioned shot of the Thing sitting in the back of the taxi.

Like others, I'd have trouble picking only one but to play the game, I took the first one that popped into my head.  I'm having trouble remembering the issue though.  It's a shot of the Hulk being laid out by Doc Samson.  It's from the side and the Hulk is arcing backward through the air.

EDIT:  oops, it was Iron Man doing the punching from Hulk #316.  Doc Samson is prominent throughout this run though and that must have confused me.

I just love the Hulk's left foot.  It isn't just a generic shot of a foot, the toes are all contorted and flexed and just make it really feel like the Hulk is really feeling that upper cut.

Almost impossible to answer this one properly. I will offer this panel, as one that sticks in my head for the beauty of the dappled light:

Shooter hated that page. It is the one of which he said "It just turns the last page into an ad for the next issue."

The rest of us were hard pressed to think of a reason that would be a bad thing!

I still have to read Hulk 316 with the real Iron Man armor. Back in 1989, when it published in Brazil, Iron Man (back then, Rhodey) still used the classic armor, so they changed it. I remember a letter complaining that a close-up of Iron Man showed white skin under the helmet, and the Brazilian editors said it was a coloring mistake.

This is what got me well and truly hooked on superheroes in the first place. I might have stuck with Star Wars and GI Joe comics, then walked away after a year or two but for this.

And another thank you to Steve Gumm while this is up is never a bad idea.

To pick one top favorite panel for me is impossible. I don't have only one, but this is one of the many that first came to mind.

Shooter was out of his mind.  My friends and I were counting the frickin' hours 'til the next issue.  I still remember the AAAARRRRGGHH!!! I let out upon realizing how long the next 30 days would be.
