This panel from FF #238 always makes me smile or chuckle.

If we are counting splash pages...

If we aren't counting splash pages... (the 3rd panel!)

I'm going to post a few other examples of panels where I don't really feel like I've seen anything like them before. I've always wanted to ask JB why he decides to use a particular technique / visual, but it's sort of a goofy 'where do you get your ideas' question. Anyhow, panels!

I didn't know that was the rule, sorry.  I guess it would help if I read the first post fully. lol:)

Looks like the colorist missed some of the flame above the Human Torch's head in that panel up-thread from FF 238.

Speaking of FF 238, my favorite panel comes from that issue, too.

I was 12 years old when this came out.  It made an extra-special impression because, as originally published, we had to turn the page to see that big reveal.  In FF VISIONARIES it faces the prior page, and loses the impact of being a very-last-minute reveal (IMHO)

Also, as a 12 year old, I bought it hook, line, and sinker: "This time it is permanent!"

Here's one of my favourite panels...

It comes from one of the first (if not THE first) American comic I bought off the shelf and has always stuck in my head.
I love the pose which helped inform a young me on how Spider-Man moved - creeping down the walls like, well, a spider in the shape of a man.
I also like how, if you spin the image round in photoshop, the pose just works at any angle.
Add in the cool lighting effect and the foreshortening of the figure which makes it look like the left arm is reaching out to the reader and it makes a great image.

More likely one of the separators. This was back in the days of hand separation, and there were just SO many opportunities for error.
