Yes, yes... We got a lot of months until December, I know...
However, Hallmark has put out the catalog for the 2018 ornaments coming out in July and Oct...
Just a short list:
Star Trek
Star Wars
DC Comics
Marvel
Also coming in October are:
HAL 9000
Serenity (Firefly)

JB: The metal Enterprise is intriguing.

I hope nobody is thinking of recreating a certain scene from "Catspaw" with it...

Every TREK fan alive in 1967 wanted that little ship! This looks about as close as we'll get. (And stand down, all of you reaching for the keyboard to remind me the CATSPAW model was undetailed!)

++++++++++++++
There have been some great fanmade runs of that "Catspaw" model, some encased in Lucite, some not. The model also appears in some long-distance shots in "The Doomsday Machine", as the ship is pulled toward the planet killer's maw.
As for the Hallmark ornament, it looks to be a very nice computer render, at this stage. We'll see how the final product looks!

For the comic book offerings, the DC lineup seems much stronger to my eyes. Speaking to my favourites (Batman and Spider-Man), I like all of the Batmans (Batmen?) save the Rebirth version, but with only two Spider-Mans to choose from, I only liked the Personalized one. Not quite sure what's up with the blue wrists and heels on the the Swings Into Action ornament.

Surprised Hallmark doesn't have a Thanos or Infinity Gauntlet ornament. Love that metal Enterprise--might have to get one!

Just a reminder that the metal USS Enterprise Hallmark Ornament is available on October 6th...
USS Enterprise Ornament (Metal)
As Greg mentioned above, the previous pics were CGI.. Here is the actual version:
Trekcore Link
A bit more rougher looking than I would have wished...
The HAL 9000 that Shaun was interested in, also arrives on the same day:

Its interesting to me that this year's Star Trek stuff is mostly TOS, with a couple of Discovery items. That's a definite change in marketing strategy from CBS.

My USS Enterprise Hallmark ornament got picked up today... Good thing I decided to drop by the shop, since they had lost my pre-order.

It is slightly larger than the Eaglemoss ships, and heavier too.

Resisting the urge to dangle this over a lighted candle...

It's nice, I'll have to buy another stand to put it up beside my 50th Anniversary Gold Enterprise that Hallmark released...

That looks pretty fine! The one barrier for me is the zero-connection-to-Christmas, but I am still tempted to order one for myself.

I have a an old, metal Enterprise ornament produced for the 30th anniversary (which also has a separate display base which plays Kirk’s opening narration from the show), so I don’t really see a need to upgrade. This new one looks purdy, though!

Got mine yesterday. Definitely a bit bigger than Sylvia's toy version but a classy, solidly built ship. Will be proudly displayed on my Xmas tree somewhere near the Galileo Seven (also from Hallmark with the Nimoy audio drop "Galileo to Enterprise, Galileo to Enterprise... Spock here. Happy Holidays. Live Long and Prosper.")

Was in my local Hallmark today to purchase some cards...
Saw the HAL 9000 ornament on sale for 60% off.
Now occupies a place in front of my PC monitor, along with two other Hallmark figures:
