I’ve enjoyed those times when we saw you ink the pencils of some
celebrated artists like Curt Swan, Steve Ditko and, if memory serves,
Kerry Gammill. Are there any pencillers whose work you’d like to ink or
would have liked to?

I’d also like to open up the question to the forum (after JB answers, of
course): Who would you like to see inked by JB?
My whole reason for this question stems from looking at some early
80s work by Gil Kane. I always loved his work but was never 100%
thrilled with his inking his own pencils. I always preferred to see him
inked by guys like Sid Greene, Dan Adkins, Wally Wood or John
Romita. It got me wondering what Kane inked by JB might look like?

I did ink Gil Kane! None of you have ever seen it, but back in my fan days, when I was still at ACA, John Mansfield, the guy who "discovered" me in Calgary, gave me some of Gil's full sized layouts to practice on. Which I did, tho I now look back in horror at the idea of inking rare pencils like that.

John Romita. I think that would produce a wonderful hybrid of sheer magnificence.

Neal Adams, because my insatiable elephant's child curiosity really wants to see the product.

Walt Simonson, because I think master and master would make an incredible synergy.

If memory serves, JB DID ink Walt for one panel of GENERATIONS 3, didn't he?

Yeah, that was great. Neal Adams over Gil was stupendous, as well.

There was a panel depicting the final battle between Orion and Darkseid that Walt drew, I forget which issue. I *think* JB said that he had inked the panel, but I could be wrong about that.
