I won't go down that same road again despite having some new thoughts!

So instead I'll ask that we imagine SVTU is being resurrected for the modern age. Try not to go above 5 or 6, but what would your first 5-6 issues involve?

I only have one rule: they must be standalone tales. Let your imaginations run wild.

Here's mine:

#1 - Doctor Octopus and Doctor Doom

#2 - Mandarin and Leader

#3 - Kingpin and Green Goblin

#4 - Abomination and Juggernaut

#5 - Lizard and Leader

SECRET WARS aside, I don't recall many (or any) team-ups between Doom and Octopus. I think Octopus would get very frustrated being a lackey. Let's face it, no-one teams with Doom, they only THINK they do. Doom is pulling the strings all of the time.

After the Hulk ruins one of the Mandarin's latest plots, causing much destruction and expense, the Leader and Mandarin decide to pool resources.

Kingpin and Green Goblin (have they ever teamed?) decide to eliminate Spider-Man once and for all, but Kingpin has trouble handling Goblin's boisterous nature. 

The Abomination and Juggernaut figure that there is no way the Hulk can survive if they both attack him at the same time.

And in attempt to take out the Hulk, the Leader captures the Lizard and tests out some new "aggression drug" on him, creating a more powerful and stronger Lizard.

Not that Namor wasn't known to me, but I always thought of Namor as a hero, if not stubborn as all hell.
