1 - Fantastic Four - my favourite team done as they should be - as family, as adventurers, as 'The World's Greatest Comic Magazine!'

2 - Uncanny X-Men - one of the runs that got me into superhero comics and just so full of classic stories.

3 - Alpha Flight - Those first 12 issues are sooo good...and the next 16 aren't half bad either!

4 - Superman - got me into the DC universe and made me really like the character, who up until this point hadn't been a favourite.

5 - Captain America - a short run but oh so good.

6 - Star Trek - I love JB's contributions to the ST universe which are so in character and true to the original series.

7 - She-Hulk - I loved the character in the FF but this run was just so much fun, with a capital F, that I somehow grew to love the character even more.

8 - Doom Patrol - This series got me back into comics after a long break. I second Wallace in wanting to see more of Nudge and Grunt.

9 - Next Men - a fantastic time spanning saga that I really need to read again...and again

10 - Marvel Team-Up - I enjoyed this whole series when I caught up with it in reprints though it'd get into my top 10 for #79 alone.

Okay at this moment,

4. Superman
5. Alpha Flight
6. X-Men: The Hidden Years

This is REALLY difficult.

1. Fantastic Four: this is the title that I first read and fell in love with comics.  If the aliens come down and ask "what is a comic book", I would point them to this run.

2. Alpha Flight: this is "my" X-Men.

3. Superman (1987 series)

4. Captain America

5. She-Hulk

6. Silver Surfer (1982 one shot)

7. Avengers West Coast

8. Batman

9. Wonder Woman (1987 series)

10. Wolverine

  1. Fantastic Four
  2. Uncanny X-Men
  3. Superman books
  4. Star Trek books
  5. Alpha Flight
  6. Generations
  7. JBNM
  8. The Incredible Hulk
  9. Doom Patrol
  10. Danger Unlimited

4. Blood of the Demon

Thanks! Even tho the guts were torn out of it by DC, I still consider BotD some of my best work.

1. Generations (which, to me, feels so immense that all else is distantly behind -- tho beloved!)

2. Uncanny X-Men
3. Fantastic Four
4. New Gods/Fourth World
4. Star Trek New Visions (tied)
6. West Coast Avengers
7. Man of Steel/Superman
8. Wonder Woman
9. JBNM
10. Captain America

So much great stuff left off my list!

In order is tough since my opinions change over time and often depends on what I most recently read, but here it goes:

1. Fantastic Four
2. X-Men - where I think I first was introduced to JB's art
3. Next Men
4. Avengers West Coast
5. Green Lantern: Ganthet's Tale
6. The High Ways
7. Alpha Flight
8. Generations
9. Blood of the Demon - I didn't read this one until after it was cancelled but really enjoyed it
10. Cold War

1.Fantastic Four-This was my introduction to Marvel & JB. My favorite Marvel book ever since.
2.Superman-It's JB & Superman!!
3.West Coast Avengers-Brought back the original Human Torch!
4.Namor- Probably the most interest I ever had with the character.
5.Blood of the Demon- As with Namor, I never had any real interest in the character, but JB was able to do it.
6.Babe- Such a fun read. Loved both series!
7.Star Trek: The Hollow Crown- Romulans are my favorite and JB captured the way they were portrayed in TOS perfectly.
8.Generations- Fun & tragic. Brilliant series.
9.The High Ways- I enjoyed this so much. Would love a sequel series ;)
10.Doom Patrol- I really liked that it was different from what DC was doing at the time and had such a 60's vibe to me. Very underrated IMO.

9.The Incredible Hulk
10.Next Men
That was actually easy for me.

JB, I don't know if you'll see this, but I
really would like to express how much I
thought your run of IDW books were you at
absolute peak form. If that winds up being
the last comic book work you draw, you
walked away like Ted Williams.

Doom Patrol isn't rating too well? :^( That's what I'm reading for the first time right now and I think it's great. I'm stopping right at the middle of the run to read the six JLAs now though, even knowing what happened kind of it's still top drawer. I had a lot of the '60s Doom Patrol, from My Greatest #80 to #121, and even the '70s Showcase issues, but this is more exciting, it's going to be depressing to get to #18 even knowing there is a sort of cross-over with the '60s comics coming up for me.

There still enough I haven't read or seen to really feel I could make a legitimate top 10

1. Fantastic Four
2. X-Men (late '70s/early '80s)
3. Captain America (early '80s)
4. X-Men: The Hidden Years
5. Avengers (main title in the late '70s/early '80s)
6. Marvel Two-in-One/The Thing
7. Alpha Flight
8. The Doom Patrol/JLA
9. Silver Surfer
10. Star Trek: Assignment Earth
Honorable mentions. Marvel Team-Up and Iron Fist because the writing was so variable. "Only spilt seconds to react or I'm done, losing consciousness, no, I must remember what I was taught as a child back in..." Urkkk! Death by Claremont thought balloon. :^)

But I only saw the first few Supermans and only stopped because I was mad about Supergirl being killed off somewhere else and paraded around dead on various Crisis and Legion covers. Also I never saw the later She-Hulk, Next Men, Omac, Lost Generation, or Namor, but I think I would rate Lost Generation and Namor highly for sure; next after the Doom Patrol run...

Oops, I forgot The Champions in the '70s including Hulk Annual #7; short but I liked it for a lot of reasons.
