It can be a character, such as the Thing, for example, or something more specific such as the Thing wearing civilian clothes.  It could be something like rubble, or Kirby crackle...anything at all.
What's your favorite?  For me, it's graveyards!

This is a little broad, but cosmic scenes.

Nostalgia is fun, but...

At the risk of being declared a grumpy old coot, can I just point out that it kinda defeats the point of this thread to show an inferior example of what you're saying I do best?

Hands and Feet (especially feet in perspective).  There's lots of other stuff but those are the two that immediately spring to mind.

I like the way JB does facial expressions...eyes, mouth, nose even hair adds to the full face. It's usually the first clue for me if I'm looking at JB's art.

FUN, charismatic images like this that just make me happy to be alive! :)

When I see images like this my stress levels are diminished.

The above is really one of my favorite JB panels. It captures a whole lot of emotions all in one image: Johnny is jubilant, Reed is relieved and quite happy, She-Hulk is glad to be home... and Sue is wondering what the heck is going on.

Love it!

Yeah, Byrne knew how to depict his characters as serious one moment, fun loving the next.

Even back in the early years, JB's way of drawing clothing stood out to me and influenced the way I draw clothing.

Curves! I mean that in a literal, generic sense - but yes on women as well.

It's hard to pick out any one favorite thing, but, gun to my head? Tech and machinery. Boggles my mind.

I have two.

First: The Thing. JB is my favorite artist
for many characters but there's something
about how he draws Ben Grimm that makes me
happy.

The other is very specific:
JB's intense superhero face. Some of my
friends called it, "The Byrne Scowl". At
some point most of his heroes have
displayed this. The downturned corners of
the mouth with the furrowed brow. It is a
trademark of a John Byrne comic that lets
you know that the hero is about to really
kick some bad guy @$$!
