I love Storm’s cape in the second panel. And that third panel!! The angle of Cyclops’s head is pulled off perfectly. My god, man. You may become a comic book artist yet!!!

Love when you tie in stuff that you used somewhere else. Like with Marvel Lost Generation in XHY, and now XHY in Elsewhen. Really enjoying this!!!!!!!!!

The plot thickens - as does the jungle!

Seems like every time I draw Storm I find myself wondering what that cape is FOR. In her debut, in GSXM 1, she demonstrated she didn't need it to fly.

Awesome sense of depth to that second panel. Really admire its composition.

I like seeing Cyclops and Storm together like this.  We saw a glimpse of JB’s Storm as team leader in the aftermath of the Dark Phoenix saga.  I thought that was a great development for the character and a natural progression of her role on the team.  I would love to see the dynamic between Storm and Cyclops develop in an alternate timeline like this.

Well most characters that fly/levitate have a cape although they don't need it. The contrary is more complicated to find: characters with non-flying/levitating/planing abilities with an unneeded cape!

Love Wolverine's "wings".

This pencil practice, made me go back and read some stuff that I remember liking (another artist), and found out that it didn't hold up as good as my memory.

I then realized that I always like the art of JB, Gil Kane, Steve Ditko, and Steve Rude, even if I don't like the characters or the story.

Thanks again for sharing this JB.

You know I’d buy a John Byrne comic with 22 pages of the X-Men just walking through the jungle!

This jungle feels super 3D to me. Maybe it's the sunbeams adding a layer. Loving it.
