Does that standard apply to the patron touching the dancer unless she says stop? None of the clubs I had ever gone too had any kind of cover charge and dancers would roam the bar approaching men to sell lap dances. Would forcing a dancers head into a patrons "covered" groin area without consent before she had a chance to say stop be assault?

You go to some weird ass clubs.

Let’s try comparing apples to apples and not cleavages to penises.

Michael S., as soon as a man reaches for a performer in the clubs I have been in, the bouncers are on him and beating the shit out of him. If a performer takes a mans hand, for instance, and he allows her, she can do pretty much whatever she wants but the opposite is far from true.

I have not been to a strip club in 25 years. There was a no touching rule in the ones I had been in, the exception being Montreal. The lap dances I have seen the dancer do would be within centimeters of a patrons groin or her groin centimeters from a patrons face.

I thought I was comparing apples to apples. My question was, why some would feel forcing someone into sexual touching by a dancer is not considered assault but a patron doing the same may be.

I would expert the performer to respect the audience member if they waved them off.
