Mage Hero Denied #10
Justice League #4
Avengers #5

No worries with the low stack, I'm still paying off a few Tales of Suspense issues. Plus I added a couple of Jungle Action last week that I don't have.

I would've gotten the FF #232 True Believers reprint for my son to read, but my shop decided not to order any of them.

BATMAN #251 - Lee Weeks is an amazing artist that has just gotten better and better over the years. I wish they'd put this out with a "naked" variant (as in no clutter all over the art).

WILDSTORM #15
EAST OF WEST #38
KICK-ASS #6 - Romita JR!
MAGIC ORDER #2
VS #5

DC:
Brave And The Bold Batman And Wonder Woman #6 (Of 6) - Damn, now they tell us that this is the first of a series of mini-series.
Wild Storm #15 - Ellis continues to up the ante.

Dark Horse:
Witchfinder The Gates Of Heaven #3 (Of 5) - Really enjoyed the team-up in this issue.

Image:
Gideon Falls #5 - Looks like the two disparate plot threads are coming together.
Mage The Hero Denied #10 (Of 15) - An enjoyable enough issue. This run feels a bit like a picaresque.
Royal City #12 - Two to go.

Lion Forge:
Mae Volume 2 #2 - The cast of characters continues to expand. As does the list of creators, with Mark Waid now on board as writer.

So who else is enjoying THE AVENGERS? It really does feel like "everything is back to normal," finally. Well, except for She-Hulk, but I'm sure that'll change soon once she finds out that Bruce isn't dead (anymore). I don't even mind the revised story of how the Celestials affected the Earth, giving rise to super-people millions of years later. Loki could even be lying, after all. He does that.

I like it but I do feel like it's missing something. I always feel that way about Aaron's writing. I think one of the things that I used to enjoy with the Avengers was the quiet moments (not the Bendis sitting around the breakfast table moments) where you get a little bit of characterization: Vision and Scarlet Witch finding love with Hawkeye being jealous about it, Wonder Man not being sure if he's cut out to be an Avenger, Captain Marvel and Starfox having a conversation about her taking the name... Aaron takes more a cue from the movies with characters getting their quips in. At the same time, I really enjoy the art because it looks like a superhero comic and not a lot of Marvel looks like that nowadays. So while it's not quite what I want in an Avengers comic, it's definitely better than any I've read in years.
